PURPOSE: To provide a counter circuit for turning the outputs of all flip-flops to be the same at the time of supplying power, performing an arithmetic processing at a high speed without malfunctions and evading the complication of circuit constitution in the counter circuit constituted of a Johnson counter circuit.
CONSTITUTION: The Johnson counter circuit is provided with a logic circuit part 2 connected to the outputs of the respective flip-flops FF1 and FFn positioned at both end parts of the column of the plural serially connected flip-flops FF1 to FFn. The output of the logic circuit part 2 is fed back to a flip-flop group (FP2 to FF(n-1)) other than the respective flip-flops positioned at both end parts of the Johnson counter circuit.
