Abstract:
To provide a compact coupling inductor in which heat evolution in winding due to magnetic flux leakage is less.SOLUTION: A coupling inductor 1 has a core 2, and two windings 31, 32 mutually coupled magnetically. The core 2 is provided with a pair of core bodies 21, 22, and a central core 23 placed therebetween. The core bodies 21, 22 have a central core part 4 inserted into the inner periphery of the windings 31, 32, and an outer shell part 5 extending from the central core part 4 to a region facing the outer boundary of the windings 31, 32. A first magnetic flux path M1 not having an air gap is formed by the central core part 4 of one core body 21, the outer shell part 5 and a central core 23, and a second magnetic flux path M2 not having an air gap is formed by the central core part 4 of the other core body 22, the outer shell part 5 and the central core 23. Initial permeability of the central core 23 is set smaller than those of the core bodies 21, 22.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
