To provide a coupling metallic material for hanging scaffolding, which can be inexpensively manufactured by using an existing single-pipe clamp and can effectively prevent a pipe member from falling off.

This coupling metallic material is equipped with: a base member 21 which is coupled to a scaffolding hanging chain 10; and the single-pipe clamp 22 which is fixed to the base member 21, and has a main-body member 32, formed with first and second gripping parts 30 and 31 by bending a midway part, and a holding member 34 supported turnalby on the member 32. Constitutionally, the gripping part 31 is fixed to a vertical wall part 23 of the base member 21 so that the gripping part 30 can be located on the downside; the gripping part 30 is protruded outward from the base member 21; and a gripping surface 40 of a parent pipe 5 in the gripping part 30 is located in a position below the center G of gravity of the parent pipe 5 which is gripped by the member 32 and the holding member 34, so that the fall-off of the parent pipe 5 from the member 32 can be regulated in a state in which the holding member 34 is opened.
