Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a substantial small diameter and light weight of an outer cable to be attained at a Bowden cable and to perform easy and rigid connection of the end piece between the end piece and a shield.SOLUTION: A shield 4 of a Bowden cable is constituted by a hollow strand 22 made by stranding-up several metallic wires 21 arranged around a liner 3 so as to be closely contacted to each other, the end part of the hollow strand 22 is exposed out of an outer shield 5 and at the same time a diameter part of the end of this hollow strand 22 is expanded to form a first flare part 23, and additionally the end part of the liner 3 is also expanded at its diameter to make a second flare part 24 adjacent to the first flare part 23, an end piece 6 is injection molded to enclose the first and second flare parts 23, 24 and then synthetic resin of raw material for the end piece 6 is entered between the metallic wires 21.
