To provide a coupling piece which can minimize the emission of noise and transmission of vibration so as to reduce the emission of noise from a compressor unit.
In a coupling piece for coupling a housing 4 of a drive unit 2 with a housing 5 of a compressor element 1, a rib 12 is formed extending over at least a part of a wall part of the coupling piece, having a height which is equal to at least 1.5 times as large as the thickness of the wall part of on which the rib 12 stands, and a thickness which is equal to at least half of the thickness of the wall part, at a position which corresponds to a half of the height of the rib 12. In this arrangement, the rib 12 defines a pattern for dividing the wall part into adjacent sections 13. A first characteristic mode for bending the pattern, has a resonant frequency, and excitation at mainly all exciting frequencies including a maximum exciting frequency of the compressor element 1 is removed by this resonant frequency.
