Title:
COURSE DETECTION DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3200747
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To exactly detect a walker's course without difficulty by detecting the azimuth of the walk from the start point in turn, calculating the distance based on the step count and step length and storing for each azimuth in turn.
CONSTITUTION: Around a wrist watch body 1, a mode switch button 4, setting button 5, up button 6U, and down button 6D are arranged. The switching button 4 enables switching in usual watch mode, step setting mode, course detecting mode, navigation mode and return setting mode. Walk direction is detected in turn with an azimuth detection part 16 and the distance is calculated from the walker's step count and set step length in the distance detection means, a step count detection part 15. This azimuth and the distance for each azimuth are stored in turn in a memory means RAM 14 and the stored each azimuth and distance are indicated on a display part 2. Thus, by looking at the content indicated on the display part 2, the walker can recognize the course in azimuth and the distance.
