Abstract:

To provide a cover for a cable branch fitting favorable in terms of safety, which facilitates covering operation for covering the cable branch fitting and exhibits operability and has no individual differences in the insulation of the covers.

One end each of a pair of half-cut bodies 1a, 1b made of a synthetic resin with their opened faces facing each other is connected with a hinge part 2, and is freely opened/closed centering around the hinge part 2 so as to cover the cable branch fitting B. A draw-out port 9 for drawing out an overhead wire D is formed at the opposite side edges of the opened surface of each half-cut body 1a, 1b. An engaging part 12 and an engaged part 13 for detachably engaging with each other, when both half-cut bodies 1a, 1b are closed, are provided at a specified position of the half-cut bodies 1a, 1b. A plug-in part 14 allowing the tip end part of the holding part 42 of an indirect hot-line tool C to be inserted therethrough for being held, and a receiving recessed part 15 for receiving a support rod 41, which extends from the holding part 42 with its tip end part inserted into the plug-in part 14 disposed at a position away from the plug-in part 14 at a specified distance, are provided to the outer peripheral surface of at least one half-cut body 1a.
