To provide a cover for an electric water heating apparatus improving durability while reducing cost.
A lower cover member 3 includes an outer member 31 having an opening 31a, and an inner member 32 disposed to block the opening 31a of the outer member 31. The inner member 32 is formed of a heat resistant material in a state of having a downwardly opened recessed part 32a and a ventilation port 32b serving for communication between the inside and outside of the recessed part 32a. The inner member 32 is provided in such a state that the edge part 32g of the recessed part 32a abuts on or is close to the upper face of an inner cover plate 4 over the whole periphery, and a ventilation chamber 8 is formed partitioned between the recessed part 32a of the inner member 32 and the upper face of the inner cover plate 4. The inner cover plate 4 is provided with a steam delivery port 41 communicating with the ventilation chamber 8, and a steam passage 6 allows steam generated from an apparatus body to flow through the steam delivery port 41 of the inner cover plate 4, the ventilation chamber 8, the ventilation port 32b and a steam discharge port 2a of an upper cover member 2 and to be discharged to the outside from the steam discharge port 2a.
