To properly synchronize a crank position between a first electronic control device and at least one second electronic control device without increasing cost of a communication circuit regarding a crank position synchronization device for an internal combustion engine.
The crank position synchronization device includes: a main microcomputer 12 to which a crank angle sensor 16 and a cam angle sensor 18 are connected; a sub microcomputer 14; and a communication line 22 connecting the main microcomputer 12 and the sub microcomputer 14. The main microcomputer 12 receives a crank signal output from the crank angle sensor 16 and counts a main count value of the crank position by 10° CA based on the received crank signal. Subsequently, the main microcomputer 12 transmits a pulse signal having pulse signals different in Hi period according to the main count vale. Meanwhile, the sub microcomputer 14 obtains the main count value by the received pulse signals and calculates a sub count value by itself based on the pulse signals.
