The crime prevention operation device for the elevator is provided with a camera 2 for photographing the inside of a car 1; an external recording device 3 including an image processing substrate 4 for quantitating the violence degree by analyzing the recording image to detect the violence; a communication device 5 for determining strength of the violence degree; an elevator control board 6 required with violence operation of the elevator according to the degree of strength of the violence degree by the communication device; a maintenance company monitoring center 7 for setting whether or not warning is emitted according to the degree of strength of the violence degree by the communication device; and a portable maintenance terminal device 8 connected to the elevator control board, the maintenance company monitoring center, the external recording device or the like through the communication device and having function capable of setting/changing the threshold value of the violence degree.
