In this crucible used for depositing an organic material onto a base, the organic material placed in the crucible is heated by a heating wire wound around the crucible to be sublimated or vaporized, and deposited on the base. As the organic material has low heat conductivity, the heat is not transferred to a central part of the crucible, and the organic material is not desirably deposited, whereby a bottom face of the crucible has the shape such that a thickness from a bottom face of the organic material is gradually reduced from an inner side face of the crucible to the center of the crucible.
