To provide a crushing method capable of efficiently obtaining a fine particle having desired particle size by controlling a biting amount of a cross-linked elastic body in compression crushing of the cross-linked elastic body by a pair of rolls, and a crushing facility.
In the crushing method for the cross-linked elastic body 2, the fine particle of the cross-linked elastic body 2 is obtained by compression-crushing the cross-linked elastic body 2 by a pair of rolls 3 comprising a driven roll 3a and a fixed roll 3b. The crushing method is provided with a step for throwing the cross-linked elastic body 2 between the pair of relatively rotated rolls 3 while urging the driven roll 3a in a direction approaching to the fixed roll 3b; a step for compression-crushing the thrown cross-linked elastic body 2 by the pair of rolls 3; a step for measuring displacement of the driven roll 3a relative to the urging direction of the driven roll 3a; and a step for increasing/decreasing the thrown amount of the cross-linked elastic body 2 based on the measured displacement.
