Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the hydrate crystal with pharmacologically stable quality and with easy filtering process and with strong antibacterial activity to a wide range of viruses by adjusting an acidic or basic water soln. of a specified non- crystalline compd. in a specified pH range.
CONSTITUTION: A crystal of 7-[(Z)-2-(2-aminothiazole-4-yl)-2-(2-carboxylprop-2- oxyimino)acetoamide]-3-(5-methyl-1,4,6-triaminopyrimidium-2-yl)thiomethyl-3- cephem-4-carboxylate hydrate of the formula is obtd. by adjusting an acidic or basic water soln. of a non-crystalline compd. of the formula in a range of pH of 2.5-4.0 and crystallizing it at a crystallization temp. of 0-60°C.
