Title:
CRYSTAL OSCILLATOR CIRCUIT AND BROADCAST RECEIVER USING SAME
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3021210
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a crystal oscillator circuit with oscillation frequency selection function reducing the IC chip area and also decreasing the number of terminal pins.
CONSTITUTION: A crystal oscillator circuit consists of an inverter 1, an output resistor RD connected to the output side of the inverter 1 through either one of both ends of the resistor, a crystal oscillator 2 connected to the other end of the resistance RD through either one of both ends of the oscillator 2 and connected to the input side of the inverter 1 through the other end of the oscillator 2 respectively, a pair of capacitors C1 and C2 connected to both ends of the oscillator 2 through either one of both ends of each capacitor and then connected to an earth point through the other end of each capacitor, and a feedback resistor Rf which secures the connection between the input and output sides of the inverter 1. In such a constitution, two crystal oscillators 2a and 2b having different frequencies are set in parallel to each other. Meanwhile the value of both resistors RD and Rf are switched over by the switches 5 and 6. Thus both oscillators 2a and 2b are alternatively actuated.
