To obtain a curable composition which can give a cured coating film excellent in heat resistance, abrasion resistance, corrosion resistance, and adhesion to substrates in high productivity by incorporating a polysilazane with a functional additive having a radically reactive functional group and a photoinitiator.
100 pts.wt. polysilazane having a number-average molecular weight of 100-50,000, desirably, 500-10,000 and having at least an Si-H bond or N-H bond in the molecule is mixed with 0.01-100 pts.wt., desirably, 0.1-50 pts.wt. functional additive having a radically reactive functional group, selected among an ultraviolet absorber, an infrared absorber, a light stabilizer, an antioxidant, a dye having an unsaturated bond in the molecule, an antistatic agent, and a water repellent, and 0.01-20 pts.wt., desirably, 0.1-10 pts.wt. photoinitiator to obtain a curable composition. This composition is applied to a substrate in a coating amount to give a thickness of 0.01-50 μm and cured by irradiation with an actinic radiation.
