To prevent bristles of a curling iron from deformation and damage by equipping a protruding part to prevent the contact of tip ends of bristles on a facing block in a facing position when a heat plate is in a condition not to abut on a press plate in a normal position onto a face at least of either the face of the heat plate block or the face of the press plate block facing the heat plate.
Tip ends of bristles 5 placed on both outsides of a heat plate 1 have fear to be deformed by contact with a press plate 3 placed on a face of a press plate block 4 facing the bristles. A protruding part 7 for preventing the bristles from abutting on the facing block, i.e., the press plate block 4, in a condition the heat plate 1 does not abut on the press plate 3 in a normal position is placed on the heat plate block 2. Thus the tip ends of bristles 5 is prevented from being in contact with the facing block even when the heat plate 1 does not abut on the press plate 3 in the normal position.
