PURPOSE: To enable outdoor disposition and attain the efficiency of an occupied space by installing a curved conveyor along the outer wall of a building.

CONSTITUTION: A building 1 has an outer peripheral wall of the radius-of- curvature R, and passengers are transported between a lower floor 3 and an upper floor 4, that is, the floor height H, by a passenger conveyor 5. One side face of this conveyor 5 has a curve described along the radius of curvature R, and the stairs 6, body frame 7 and outer plate 8 are extended in the state of being wound to the outer peripheral wall 2. The body frame 7 is placed, at several longitudinal places, on a cross beam 1A protruding from the building 1 so as to bear the weight of the passengers and equipment. Since the passenger conveyor is thus disposed making use of the outer peripheral wall of the building, outdoor installation becomes possible, and therefore the efficiency of an occupied space can be attained. Also a supporting column erected on the lower side of the passenger conveyor can be dispensed with so as to enable the effective use of the space, and a fine view can be maintained because of the cross beam together with the body frame being covered with the outer plate.
