Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission optical microscope at a low cost, unnecessitating the troublesome adjustment of optical axis of an optical element, usable out of doors and provided with an illumination device for uniformly illuminating a sample without irregularity.
SOLUTION: This microscope is provided with an objective lens 6, a stage 7 of a sample 15, a planar fluorescent tube unit 9 having a planar fluorescent tube with a planar fluorescent layer, an oscillating circuit 17 for generating glow discharge for emitting light by exciting the fluorescent layer and a DC source 12. The sample is illuminated in bright-field by locating the planar fluorescent layer out of the focal depth of the objective lens 6 in the focus.
