Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting method of austenitic heat resistant cast steel excellent in machinability.SOLUTION: The cutting method of the austenitic heat resistant cast steel is provided for cutting the austenitic heat resistant cast steel containing, by mass%, S:0.1-0.2% and Al:0.02-0.15% by using a coated cutting tool formed by coating a base material composed of WC-based cemented carbide with an AlTi nitride coating film in which Al is contained in an amount of 50% or more in terms of an atomic ratio of a metal (including semimetal) part. The austenitic heat resistant cast steel desirably contains C:0.40-0.55%, Cr:18-27%, Ni:8-22%, Mn:0.5-1.5% and Nb:1.5-2.5%. Hardness of the base material is desirably 90.0-92.0 HRA. The hardness of the base material is also desirably 90.5 HRA or more. A cutting speed also desirably exceeds 120 m/min.
