Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a cutting tool compositely coated with a hard layer and an Fe alloy layer and to provide its producing method.
CONSTITUTION: This tool is a compositely coated cutting tool obtd. by subjecting a hard layer coated cutting tool in which the surface of a WC base sintered hard alloy or a TiCN base cermet as a substrate is coated with a hard layer to shot blasting of Fe allay balls contg. 0.1 to 3% S or 0.1 to 3% S and 0.1 to 3% Ca to form an Fe alloy layer having the same componental compsn. as that of the Fe allay balls, and this is the method for producing it.
