Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance processing performance for scraps generated in lathe processing.SOLUTION: A cutting tool for lathe processing comprises: a terrace which spreads around a fitting hole; a decent slope face which surrounds the terrace; a first rake face which surrounds the decent slope face; a second rake face which surrounds the first rake face, and rises from the first rake face; and a cutting edge which surrounds the second rake face, and is formed on an outer periphery. A height of the cutting edge is constant at a corner, but is linearly increased over 3 mm from a point separated from an initial point of the corner, and an angle between the linearly increased cutting edge and the cutting edge at the corner falls within a range of 1.7° to 2.7°.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
