To provide a cutting tool which can easily cut a material to be cut on an aimed cutting line while a groove part on the advance side matches with a ruled line for either case of cutting in the forward or backward direction.
The cutting tool are provided with a body housing 2 in which a drive mechanism 1 is set, a handle 3 installed in the body housing 2, a base 4 attached to the body housing 2, and a cutting blade which is driven by the drive mechanism 1 while being projected from the base 4. The groove parts 7a and 7b for matching with the ruled line L of the material 20 to be cut are formed at the ends of the front and rear sides of the base 4, and from the groove part 7b on the rear side, a straight line groove 8 for matching with the ruled line L of the material 20 is extended forward.
