NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I {n is 2 or 3; R1 has 0W3 unsaturated bonds and represents [lower alkoxy, lower alkoxycarbonyl, CH(OR11)2 (R11 is substituted by a lower alkyl, etc.)] 1W10C aliphatic group or H; Y is CO2H, CHO, formula II [R21 is lower alkyl; R22 is (1W3C lower alkyl, lower alkoxy or Cl-substituted) phenyl] or formula III (R31WR33 are lower alkyl or R22) or formula IV}.
EXAMPLE: 2-Ethyl-3-[methoxy(phenylthio)trimethylsilylmethyl]-cyclopentanone.
USE: A medicine, agricultural chemical and synthetic intermediate therefor.
PREPARATION: A compound expressed by formula V is reacted with a compound expressed by formula VI and the resultant product is then reacted with a compound expressed by the formula R1X (X is halogen or R1X is 1W3C organic acid, water or lower alcohol) in a polar solvent to afford the aimed compound expressed by formula I (Y is formula IV).
