To reduce a load on a full bead so as to increase durability by forming a half bead around a water hole around a cylinder bore in a metallic cylinder head gasket in which the full bead is arranged around the cylinder bore and also the half bead is arranged around the water hole.

A cylinder head gasket 11 is located between a cylinder block 10 and a cylinder head, and pressed by the cylinder head and cylinder block 10 when it is tightened by head bolts. Also the cylinder head gasket 11 is provided with a full bead 19 formed so that it surrounds each cylinder bore 17, a half bead 20 formed so that it envelopes the full bead 19 from the outside at a cylinder bore 12 side from a water hole 18, and a half bead 21 formed at a position opposite to the half bead 20 through the water hole 18. Thus a surface pressure produced on a gasket 11 when it is tightened by bolts is distributed into the full bead 19 and half bead 20 so as to reduce the maximum surface pressure.
