Abstract:

To provide an cylinder injection two cycle engine which can prevent occurrence of irregular combustion and avoid deterioration of fuel consumption economy and exhaust gas nature caused by exhaust of combustible fuel.

This engine is constituted as follows, a scavenging port 13a and an exhaust port 35a are formed on a cylinder side wall. An ignition plug 34 is arranged on a cylinder head 5. A fuel injection valve 14 is arranged inside a combustion chamber (a). An exhaust control valve 39 is arranged on an exhaust passage 35 for varying a sectional area of the passage. Fuel injection control means ECU 70 controls the fuel injection valve such that as larger a load is, as much the fuel injection is, immediately before ignition by the plug based on an engine load. Exhaust control value opening controlling means ECU 70 sets exhaust control valve opening in an operation area of a small load smaller than that in the operation area of a large load. An exhaust starting timing variable valve 37 varies an exhaust timing. An exhaust timing control means ECU 70 controls the exhaust timing in the operation area of the large load so as to advance it compared to that in the operation area of a small engine load.
