Abstract:
To provide a cylindrical body connection method and a cylindrical body caulking device capable of reducing a work load for caulking a cylindrical member large in diameter or high in strength.SOLUTION: This cylindrical body connection method comprises: an insertion step of inserting a joint member into first and second cylindrical members or inserting the first and second cylindrical members into the joint member over the first and second cylindrical members; a first fitting step of fitting a cylindrical body caulking device to the outer periphery of the first cylindrical member or the joint member; a first caulking step of pressing, after or simultaneously with the first fitting step, a circumferential part of the first cylindrical member or the joint member, and caulking and connecting the first cylindrical member and the joint member; a second fitting step of fitting the cylindrical body caulking device to the outer periphery of the second cylindrical member or the joint member; and a second caulking step of pressing, after or simultaneously with the second fitting step, a circumferential part of the second cylindrical member or the joint member, and caulking and connecting the second cylindrical member and the joint member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
