Abstract:
To provide a damage evolution simulation device capable of accurately predicting interlayer separation and damage in a layer in order to improve accuracy of damage simulation of a composite material, and reproducing a phenomenon of mutual influence of both.SOLUTION: A simulation device for predicting damage evolution from a start of damage of a composite material having a lamination structure to breakage has a damage evolution analysis unit. With the damage evolution analysis unit, a FEM model formation unit is provided in which each layer of the composite material is specified as a plurality of structural elements and each interlayer is divided into a plurality of interlayer elements; a fracture parameter A is set for the structural elements and a fracture parameter B is set for the interlayer elements, respectively; damage evolution from a start of damage to breakage is decomposed into a plurality of steps; and damage evolution analysis is performed while reflecting one of the fracture parameter A and the fracture parameter B upon the other per step.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
