Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration damping structure for a construction capable of effectively dampening a vibration of a construction such as a rack in a rational, simple and effective manner.SOLUTION: The vibration damping structure for a construction comprises: a fixed side construction 2 constructed by being fixed on a support base 4; a movable side construction 3 having the same height as that of the fixed side construction and supported on the support base horizontally movably in a direction to come into contact with and separate from the fixed side construction via horizontally movable means 5; and a rigid connecting member 6 with both ends rigidly joined to a top portion of the movable side construction and a top portion of the fixed side construction, provided horizontally in the horizontal movement direction of the movable side construction only between the top portion of the movable side construction and the top portion of the fixed side construction, so that a force is transmitted between the movable side construction and the fixed side construction. One of a pair of existing constructions constructed by being fixed on the support base, is divided from the support base and supported horizontally movably on the support base via the horizontally movable means in a direction to come into contact with and separate from the other existing construction and used as the movable side construction, and the other existing construction is used as the fixed side construction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
