Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data carrier provided with an optical variable member with information built therein, manufactured advantageously in cost and formed in such a way that information built in the optical variable member is easily recognized at all observation angles and that the information has the effect of observation angle dependency.
SOLUTION: A mark 4 is made appear by combining a regular reflection layer 3 and a diffusion scattering surface member. The mark 4 formed of the regular reflection layer 3 and the diffusion scattering surface is so formed that the intensity of regular reflected light is high in at least one observation angle range and low in at least another observation angle range compared to the intensity of light radiated by a diffusion scattering surface area.
