PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the stress of a user by surely securing a route with the widest band width at the fastest data transfer speed.
SOLUTION: A server 8 being a data supply source on a network is provided with an agent 10, having the function for searching the path with the broadest band width among a client 1 and servers 8, 8', 8", the agent 10 transmits data to the client 1 in response to a data transfer request from the client 1, the client 1 executes the function of the agent 10 to execute transfer of data through the searched path so as to automatically find out an optimum route at the time when the server 1 is at least accessed, thereby shortening the wait time of data transfer as much as possible.
