Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a system for readily updating data libraries to be fed to various LSI design CAD tools.
CONSTITUTION: Data of individual components being employed in design of LSI is prepared, in the form of database, in a design component data area 11 and a process for generating the database is recorded in a process data area 12. When information for retrieving a specific component is provided from a first CAD tool 81 to a data retrieving means 60, a data is retrieved from the database in reference to the record in the process data area 12 and the retrieved data is extracted as an element data through an element extracting means 20. A format converting means 70 then converts the element data to a specific format which is provided to a first CAD tool 81.
