Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data processor suitable for reducing a circuit scale and improving critical path to reduce operation load in performing multiplication and accumulation by a block floating system.
SOLUTION: This data processor is formed by a first shifter 35 for performing scaling for each data of a data block A according to a given scale factor, a second shifter 32 for performing scaling to each data of a data block C according to a given scale factor, a multiplier 30 for performing multiplication using the data block B and the data block A from the shifter 35, and a cumulative adder 33 for performing addition using the multiplication result data block from the multiplier 30 and the data block C from the second shifter 32.
