Abstract:
To improve a watermark detection processing speed for detecting a watermark from a high speed data stream in a data reproducing device.
This data reproducing device is provided with a reproduction signal processing means 14, a reproduction signal output control processing means 15, a buffer memory 23 for storing once a 1st data to be detected for the watermark, a data buffer control means 16, and a watermark detecting means 17 for detecting the watermark from the 1st data, and the device is arranged so as to select necessary data for detecting the watermark from the 1st data stored in the buffer memory and detect the watermark from the selected data.
