Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transfer system, a data transfer device, a data recording device, an edit control method and a data processing method which makes the edit control of contents appropriate and the operation thereof efficient.
SOLUTION: On the side of a data recording medium, a control flag information, which represents that contents data thereof one, which is transferred from a data transfer device is recorded on a secondary recording medium, according as the contents data from the data transfer device is recorded on the secondary recording medium. Furthermore, with respect to the contents data which is recorded on the secondary recording medium, the control of edit inhibition or edit limit is performed according to the existence of the corresponding control flag information; thereby, the contents data which is recorded on the secondary recording medium is protected, in such a manner that the edition will not be executed by the so-called 'check-out'.
