Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a data transmitter which transmits data between two systems with different processing speeds while converting parallel data into serial data.
SOLUTION: A transmitter is provided with a 1st input latch means 210 that latches N-bit parallel time data in response to a 1st input enable signal, a transmission clock generating section 240 that counts a system clock signal according to the N-bit parallel time data latched by the 1st input latch means 210 to generate a transmission clock signal, a 2nd input latch means 220 that latches the N-bit parallel transmission data in response to the 2nd input enable signal, and an output selection signal generating section 250 that counts the transmission clock signal in response to the 2nd input enable signal and produces the count as an output selection signal, and also with a parallel serial conversion section 230 that converts the N-bit parallel transmission data signal latched by the 2nd input latch into (N+2)-bit serial data signal in response to the output selection signal. The serial transmission rate of parallel data is set based on an optional tide data.
