Abstract:
To allow encryption to prevent unauthorized copy effectively even in a configuration realized in a simple system in which management of a key to encrypt contents is easy, amounts of operations is small, and changes to a system being utilized is small.
Digital contents such as music are encrypted using specific key data. A product code composed of C1 (inner code for row data) and C2 (outer code for column data) parity codes is generated based on the digital data such as the music, and recorded on a recording medium by overwriting the key data including a native data error on the C2 parity while satisfying certain correction possible criteria unique to the codes.
