Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized, low-cost dc-to-dc converter, and an electronic apparatus using it.
SOLUTION: The DC-DC converter 10 is provided with an stable multivibrator 12, having a first time-constant circuit 13 for setting the on-time of its output and a second time-constant circuit 14 for setting the off-time of the output, and a switching element Q1 to be controlled by the output of the astable multivibrator 12. The duty radio of the astable multivibrator 12 is changed, in accordance with the output voltage, and consequently the output voltage is controlled. Accordingly, it is possible to reduce the size and cost of the dc-to-dc converter, since it is possible to form the converter having a simple circuit.
