Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a converter that remarkably diminishes a switching loss.
SOLUTION: Two forward converters are formed by connecting IGBTS1 and IGBTS2, which are connected in series to an output of a DC power source E, to series circuits, which respectively consists of a diode D1 and a capacitor C1, and of IGBTS3 and a first high-frequency transformer T1, in parallel with IGBTS1, by connecting series circuits, which respectively consists of a diode D2 and a capacitor C2, and of a second high-frequency transformer T2 and IGBTS4, in parallel with IGBTS3, and by connecting diodes D3, D4 respectively between the contact of IGBTS3/the transformer T1 and the AC power source, and between the contact of the transformer T2/IGBTS4 and the AC power source. Outputs of the transformer T1, T2 are respectively rectified and connected to a smoothing reactor Ld having a tap. One terminal of the smoothing reactor is connected to a load, and another terminal is connected to the load through a reflux element D7.
