To assure flexibility in use and allow use of electric tools with higher generality, by easily connecting an adaptor plug to the electric tools, and then permitting the changeover of an output voltage of a DC power supply apparatus corresponding to the rated voltage of electric tools.
When a plug 18 is connected to an AC power supply, an AC voltage supplied to a DC power supply apparatus 11 via an input cable 10 is converted into the predetermined DC voltage and is then outputted from a terminal 13a of an adapter plug 13 via an output cable 12. When the adapter plug 13 is connected to an electric tool 40, the electric tool 40 may be used. Moreover, since the DC power supply apparatus 11 is installed independently and the adapter plug 13 having the coupling section 13a in the same shape as the coupling section 1a of a storage battery 1 used for electric tool 40 is provided at one end of the output cable 12, it is now possible to use the electric tool 40 by replacing the storage battery 1 and the adapter plug 13 depending on the working condition.
