Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small and light deck crane that can reliably sling and stow onboard craft while occupying a reduced area on decks.
SOLUTION: An upright mast 4 on a deck 10 carries a post 5 turnable thereabout. The post 5 carries a fixed boom 6 having a winch and a wire rope 81. On the opposite sides of the boom 6 are hydraulic cylinders 71 and 73 for alternately pulling a wire rope 43 wound on a swing sheave 41 on the top of the mast 4. The swing sheave 41 has means for securing the wire rope 43 halfway.
