PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a food decolorant comprising component(s) as active ingredient(s) contained in natural materials, especially conventionally used food materials.
SOLUTION: This food decolorant is obtained by using as active ingredient(s) one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of a dimethyl sulfide compound and a diallyl sulfide compound, or by using a Welsh onion extract containing the above one or more compounds.
