Abstract:

To improve a decomposition efficiency when petroleum compds. are decomposed by culturing microbes, by removing decomposed products of petroleum compds. from a culture medium in a period of culturing and then newly adding a culture medium containing a nitrogen source and phosphorus source and microbes having ability to decompose petroleum compds.

In the decomposing method of petroleum compds. by culturing microbes having ability to decompose petroleum compds. in a culture medium containing petroleum compds. when a soil contaminated with petroleum compds. is recovered, decomposition products of the petroleum compds. are removed from the culture medium in the culturing period. After that, a process to add a culture medium containing at least one kind of nitrogen source and at least one kind of phosphorus source and microbes having ability to decompose petroleum compds. is newly carried out. This process is carried out periodically or not periodically. The decomposition products of petroleum compds. from the culture medium are removed by using a difference in solubility between the decomposition products and the residual compds. or a difference in specific gravity between these.
