Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recover and decontaminate secondary waste such as machined powder generated in cutting work on core internals and rearrange for smooth recovery work afterward.
SOLUTION: For cutting a shroud 5 in a reactor pressure vessel 4 with an electric spark machine 6, a cyclone separator 13, a pump 14 and a filter 15 are provided in a reactor well 1 and a water purifying device consisting of a pump 38 for water purifying and a filter 39 for water purifying is provided in a fuel pool 2. The filter 39 for water purifying is a filter with filter diameter of 1 μm or less. A plurality of suction hoses 43 are connected by way of a suction header 42 to the pump 38 for water purifying. By this, fine particles including ion components generated in cutting can be recovered and water purity is ensured during the work and recovery efficiency of the cutting powder is simultaneously improved.
