PURPOSE: To obtain a decorative laminated sheet having a quality feeling and a high grade feeling akin to those of natural marble by a method wherein a film layer of an opaque coating containing resin component and pigment is formed on a surface of a cork base, and a light and shade pattern like a marble is formed to the film layer.

CONSTITUTION: Crushed cork raw material is joined by adhesives, is pressurized and is heated to form a cork base 1. An opaque coating composed of resin component and pigment is coated on a surface 1A of the cork base 1. A coated film layer 5 is absorbed in recessed parts 3, 4 remaining on the cork base 1 or is adsorbed in a cork particle 2a of a high adsorbability to the coating in the base 1. The film layer 5 remains in a faint state on the surface 1A and a state in which a part of texture color is seen through occurs according to its position. Further, since the film layer 5 coated on the cork particle 2b of low absorbability to the coating is adsorbed little in the cork particle 2b, the film layer 5 remains thick, and hue of a pigment appears intensively. Thus, the film layer 5 having light and shade in tone at each part is formed onto the surface 1A of the base 1, and a pattern akin to that of natural marble is produced.
