PURPOSE: To increase a degree of freedom of a design of an inlaied pattern on a surface of a tile by enabling a plane and a sectional form at a depressed position to be freely selected by a method wherein a hollowed out hole of a specific pattern is formed on a thin sheet, and the depressed position for inlaying a pattern forming material is formed.
CONSTITUTION: A plurality of sheets 10 are prepared, and a hollowed out hole 12 of a specific form is formed to a necessary number of sheets to be arranged on an upmost layer or under said layer. A number of sheets to be hollowed out is determined according to a depth of a necessary depressed position. A plurality of sheets 10 are piled to be pressurized and a tile forming material 14 of a specific thickness is formed by lamination. At that time the hollowed out hole 12 of the sheets 10 forms a depressed position of a specific depth at a surface of the tile forming material 14. Different colored ceramic material 18 for forming a color pattern is filled up in said depressed position 16. When the forming material 14 is dried and is successively burnt, a final inlaied tile 24 can be obtained.
