Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a decorative sheet material with high collapse resistance concerning a three dimensionally uneven pattern and excellent cushioning properties by integratedly laminating a surface sheet having the three-dimensional uneven pattern and a back face sheet through a foamed adhesive.
SOLUTION: An adhesive 4 comprising 100 pts.wt. of a resin mainly comprising a vinyl acetate resin, 3-40 pts.wt. of microcapsules including thermally swellable core substance or 0.5-20 pts.wt. of a thermally decomposable foaming agent such as an azodicarbonamide or the like is applied to a backing sheet material 3 made of a crepe paper. While the adhesive 4 does not yet solidify, a surface paper or a synthetic resin sheet 2 having an uneven pattern formed by embossing is laminated, pressed with heat to foam the adhesive 4 and solidified. Thus, the objective decorative sheet is obtained in which the spacings between the surface material 2 and the backing sheet material 3 are filled with the foamed adhesive 4 by at least 30%. The adhesive may be applied to the back side surface of the surface material 2, then it is covered with the backing sheet material 3 or a mechanically foamed adhesive may be employed.
