Abstract:

PURPOSE: To realize a self-convergence and semi-pin cushion free system by setting the direction of the outer magnetic flux of a vertical coil in the direction regularly opposite to the direction of the magnetic flux of a vertical auxiliary coil.

CONSTITUTION: A PQV correcting circuit unit 10 has a winding wound on a drum core 21. A magnetic bias is preliminarily given to horizontal auxiliary coils b1, b2 by the magnetic flux ΦM of magnets a1, a2, and the magnetic flux ΦV of a vertical auxiliary coil is worked thereto. Thus, the current carried to upper and lower horizontal coils is modulated in a vertical period, and the magnetic field distribution of the upper and lower horizontal coils is changed in the vertical period, so that the PQV correction can be performed. In this system, a vertical deflection yoke 11 is arranged so that the direction of the outer magnetic flux ΦV of the vertical deflection yoke 11 is regularly opposed to the direction of the magnetic flux ΦV generated by a vertical auxiliary coil (c). This relation of magnetic flux can be formed by changing the winding direction of the vertical auxiliary coil (c) from the conventional one, or changing the direction of the current.
