Abstract:
To provide methods for delivering a drug across the plasma membrane of a cell.SOLUTION: A method for delivering a payload across the plasma membrane of a cell comprises the steps of: providing a population of cells; and bringing the population of cells into contact with a volume of an aqueous solution including the payload and an alcohol at greater than 5 percent concentration, the volume being a function of: (i) an exposed surface area of the population of cells; or (ii) the number of cells in the population of cells.SELECTED DRAWING: None
