Abstract:

PURPOSE: To shorten hardening days and to improve aging property by mixing a specific polyether having azidemethyl group in the side chain in a binder as a main component.
CONSTITUTION: A mixture is obtained by mixing in vacuum a hydroxyl group terminated aliphatic polyether having 500-6000 number av. molecular weight expressed by a formula q is 5-35, each of p, r is 1-3, R is alkylene selected from -CH2CH2-, -CH2CH2CH2-, -CH2CH2CH2CH2-with trimethylolpropane or the like. Next, the mixture restored to atmospheric pressure and temp. is blended with cyclotetramethylenetetramine or the like and a hardening agent such as hexamethylene diisocyanate and is hardened after casted and defoamed to produce a high energy binder base composite propellant.
