Abstract:
PURPOSE: To make a file act as a path finder to proceed in a root cap without harming the tip end part, by providing at least two files and equipping a safety end part with length different from that of the other file on one tip end part and the other file on the other tip end part. CONSTITUTION: Files 10 and 12 are different mainly in the finishing method of the cut edge. The cut edge of the file 10 is spiral and, on the other hand, the 'stepwise' or 'telescopic' cut edge of the file 12 is in a gentle angle against the file axis line. Files 10 and 12 have shank parts 14 and taper parts 16. The length of the 'safety end parts' 24 of the tip end file 30 is gradually changed to prevent fragments and fillers to be pushed out from the top end. Since a paper tip end stop with proper retaining power and resistance is generated, it acts as a path finder to proceed in a root cap without harming the tip end part.
